CAMPANILE
Cathedral City, CA
Wessman Gonzales
68 acres 4.32 du/ac average
Iverson Architects designed a plan made up of a series of interconnected neighborhoods with a diversity of housing choices, rather than the conventional subdivision with a spine road, cul-de-sacs and one housing type. Three different lot sizes in the residential community of Campanile have single-family detached house types including large, garage-front homes, medium-sized garage rear homes, and smaller alley-courtyard clustered homes. The large and medium homes are plotted together and the medium and small homes are intermixed, but the large and small homes are not. The neighborhood includes a network of paths to create a pedestrian and bicycle friendly environment and connect to the large recreational center and a future small main street commercial area. Iverson Architects worked with the landscape architecture firm of HRP LanDesign, Santa Ana, California, on this project.
