Villebois is a transit connected community, located near an anticipated light rail station. Iverson Architects is the residential land planning and design lead for this multiple discipline project, south of Portland. At the heart of Villebois is a Village Center to be designed in conjunction with Fletcher Farr Ayotte of Portland and characterized by higher-density mixed-use development that includes multi-family residential and ground level retail, commercial and flex space. The community is comprised of three distinct neighborhoods with diverse housing types including apartments and condominiums, attached row houses and townhouses, and single-family detached homes on a variety of lot sizes. Within each neighborhood is a "Neighborhood Commons" with convenience retail or a recreational facility, a transit stop, and public open space. Villebois features a system of inter-connected public open spaces on more than 130 acres, including parks and nature preserves. The community design is based on the tenets of diversity, connectivity, and sustainability.
